Feel Like You Can’t Shut Your Mind Off?

Do you find yourself lying awake at night, replaying conversations or imagining worst-case scenarios?

Are your days filled with a constant hum of worry, overthinking even the smallest decisions?

Do you feel like you’re always on edge, emotionally or physically exhausted, but can’t seem to slow down?
Living with anxiety symptoms can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming. It can leave you feeling restless, distracted, irritable, or just plain stuck in your own head. Maybe you’ve gotten really good at hiding it—at work, with your kids, in front of friends. But on the inside, you’re tired of feeling this way. You just want a break from the buzzing in your brain and feel more at ease.
You’re Not Alone—Anxiety Affects Millions
If you’ve been struggling with anxious thoughts, a racing mind, or that constant sense of unease—you’re far from alone. In fact, anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges in the U.S. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, around 40 million adults experience anxiety each year.
That means millions of people are walking around each day silently managing the same heaviness you feel—the overthinking, the physical tension, the fear of what might go wrong.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own. With the right treatment for anxiety, it’s possible to feel more grounded, more present, and more at ease.
While anxiety is incredibly common, it can still feel isolating when you’re in the middle of it.
What Therapy for Anxiety Looks Like
Anxiety can make your world feel small. Like you’re constantly bracing for something to go wrong; running through every possible scenario, second-guessing every choice, and never really getting a break from your own mind. But therapy can be the space where that finally starts to shift.
In our sessions, you won’t be judged or rushed. You’ll be met exactly where you are, with all the racing thoughts, the overwhelm, the fear, the frustration. Together, we’ll slow things down. We’ll talk about what anxiety looks like in your life—what it feels like in your body, the patterns it creates in your relationships, and the ways it’s been trying to protect you, even when it doesn’t feel that way.
We’ll work gently, with care and intention. Sometimes that means talking things through. Sometimes it means noticing what your body is holding and learning how to release some of that tension. We’ll explore the different parts of you, like the part that’s always scanning for danger or the one that tells you you’re not doing enough—and help those parts feel heard without letting them run the show.
You won’t walk away from each session with a to-do list of things to fix. You’ll walk away feeling seen, with a deeper understanding of yourself and tools that actually make a difference in your day-to-day life. My goal isn’t to just help you manage anxiety, it’s to help you reclaim the parts of your life that anxiety has taken from you.
This isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about reconnecting with the version of you who feels calm, grounded, and present. And yes—it’s possible.
Why Anxiety Treatment Works
You might be wondering—can therapy really help with this? Especially if you’ve tried talking things through before, only to leave sessions feeling like nothing really changed. I get it. The truth is, effective anxiety treatment goes beyond talking.
Anxiety doesn’t just live in your thoughts—it lives in your body, too. That constant tension in your chest, the tight jaw, the racing heart, the exhaustion from being “on” all the time… those are all signs that your nervous system is stuck in survival mode. When we treat anxiety, we have to work with both the mind and the body, because that’s where anxiety shows up.
That’s why our work together will include more than just conversations. Yes, we’ll talk, but we’ll also explore how anxiety is wired into your nervous system and find ways to start unwinding it. I use trauma-informed, brain-body approaches like Brainspotting and EMDR, which help access the deeper parts of your brain where anxiety and emotional distress can get stuck. These tools help your brain and body release what they’ve been holding onto so you can finally feel some relief.
We’ll also bring in somatic techniques that help calm your system in the moment, simple but powerful practices to soothe that internal alarm bell that keeps ringing, even when nothing dangerous is happening. And through it all, I’ll be right there with you—helping you learn how to listen to your body, understand your inner world, and respond to anxiety in a way that feels empowering instead of overwhelming.
Therapy works because it helps your whole self, not just your thoughts, but the parts of you that have been trying so hard to stay safe.
With time, support, and the right tools, you can feel more grounded, more in control, and more like you again.
